Back in 2000s, BMW created the C1, a motorcycle that aims to give more protection and security by being the first enclosed motorcycle in the world. Though the C1 wasn’t successful in the US, it was never a total failure because 12,600 C1s were manufactured in the span of two years.
Meanwhile, after years of dormancy, BMW resurrected the C1 program by introducing its new and more improved version: the BMW C1-E Motor Scooter. Basically, it uses lithium-ion batteries in order to generate power enough for inner-city driving.
Although not as fast as other sports motorcycles out there, the BMW C1-E Motor Scooter provides superb driver protection like no other. That’s because it features a safety cell that has a roll bar that covers the seat.
